Welcome!
Revis Cauble Leonard started researching her family because of old family photos in 1996. Her love for genealogy blossomed and it has grown into both a passion and a part-time profession.
Revis is the owner of Leonard Genealogy Research and the blogger at "Rooted In the Rolling Plains". Her educational background includes an A.S. degree from Excelsior College and a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University's Center for Professional Education. Before venturing into the world of genealogy, she worked as a certified legal assistant for almost thirty years. This experience equipped her with invaluable research and organizational skills, which she seamlessly incorporated into her genealogical pursuits.
She is also a proud graduate of ProGen and has attended prestigious genealogy
institutes such as the Forensic Genealogy Institute and the Salt Lake Institute
for Genealogy. Presently, she wears the hat of chapter registrar for Uvalde de las
Encinas (NSDAR), dedicated to connecting people with their ancestral roots and
conserving historical records. She is a co-administrator in various
DNA projects at Family Tree DNA, notably the Cauble, Ziegenfuss, Callaway, and
Freeman (the Q-M3 Haplogroup) surname projects.
Revis' involvement in the genealogy community is further evidenced by her memberships
in numerous state societies, the National Genealogical Society, the Association
for Professional Genealogists, and the APG-South Central Chapter.
Join Revis on this journey as we discover the past together, connecting histories and
forging new memories!
